Arrange a Stress-Free Move with These Tips
Moving day is one of the most stressful events that any home buyer has to go through, made even worse by the fact that the rest of life doesn’t stop either. You need to manage the sale or purchase of your house, along with any documents the broker may require, and you need to organize your moving list while you’re working full time.
Here are some tips to help arrange a stress-free move so you can unpack and get to living life in the new home.
Put a Stop to Sleepiness
One of the biggest drags during a moving day is the feeling of sleepiness that can turn an efficient morning into a slow slog. One quick way to solve this problem? Pack meals the day before your move. It might seem like a great idea to host that moving day pizza party, but the fast food isn’t giving you the nutrients your body needs to stay alert and stay active.
Get a reasonable night of sleep the day before, and try your best to avoid caffeine until the moving truck has left your premises. You don’t want a caffeine crash.
Prioritize
Boxes in the wrong room aren’t as important as getting everything unloaded within the time limit that you paid for. If you live on a busy street, be sure that you have some parking lined up for the moving company to get to your property. Also be sure that you’ll receive keys at the proper time. The moving company won’t wait for the agent to drop off keys without charging you for that time.
